The Samsung Odyssey G5 and Odyssey G7 alone arrive with an Nvidia G-Sync compatibility. However, all the three monitors in the lineup are compatible with AMD FreeSync Premium. The detailed specifications of all the new-age gaming monitors are listed down below –
Samsung Odyssey G7 Specifications (Model G70A)
Odyssey G7 is the biggest monitor in the entire lineup, with a generous 28-inch display. It features a 4K Ultra High Definition (UHD – 3840 x 2160 pixels) panel with a wide 178 degrees viewing angle. In addition to these features, the UHD display is paired up with HDR400 support to exhibit life-like details, darker blacks, and brighter whites. In order to experience real-world accuracy, the Odyssey G7 has a 144Hz refresh rate and a remarkable 1ms response time, combined with Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium compatibility. With HDMI 2.1 compatibility, G7 goes well with new-gen consoles offering 4K 120 Hz support. Along with that, it also provides other connectivity options like Display Port 1.4 and a USB 3.0 port. The external features include a height-adjustable stand that can tilt, swivel and pivot the monitor.
Samsung Odyssey G5 Specifications (Model G50A)
Odyssey G5 stands next to G7 in width, with a 27-inch display. Unlike the other Odyssey variants, G5 comes with a Quad High Definition (QHD – 2560 x 1440 pixels) panel with a wide 178 degrees viewing angle. Like the G7 variant, G5 also offers Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium compatibility for heightened graphic performance. Other features are similar to the G7, like a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. It also comes with a height-adjustable stand that can be tilted, swiveled, and pivoted to ensure player comfort.
Samsung Odyssey G3 Specifications (Model G30A)
Unlike the Odyssey G5 and G7, the Samsung Odyssey G3 comes with two size variants – you can choose a 24-inch variant or a 27-inch variant. The common features include 178 degrees viewing angle, 144Hz refresh rate, and 1ms response time. It comes with a full HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) panel. However, unlike the G5 and G7, Odyssey G3 offers only AMD FreeSync Premium compatibility. It is not compatible with the Nvidia G-Sync. The connectivity options are also the same – A display port 1.2 and HDMI 1.4. It also comes with a height-adjustable stand that can be tilted, swiveled, and pivoted to ensure player comfort.
Apart from all the above-mentioned features, the Samsung Odyssey G5 and G7 gaming monitors include a pile of multitasking features. They support PBP mode (Picture By Picture mode), using which players can easily play, chat and watch something at the same time. They can even create a small virtual window with the PIP mode (Picture In Picture mode). Further, there is an Easy Setting Box that allows users to effectively manage multiple screens on a single monitor.
In addition to that, there is an Auto Source Switch+ feature, which instantly recognizes and switches to the active input. This might come handy when you are using multiple input sources.
