Through its dedicated online listing microsite, Amazon has announced that Samsung will launch its Galaxy M32 smartphone in India at 12 noon on June 21. The reveal came after a report last week that said that the phone can be expected to launch in India this month. This microsite also included a few specifications and design details of the expected smartphone. The new model is anticipated to arrive with a high refresh rate and a huge battery. This Galaxy M32 comes as a successor to previous year’s Galaxy M31. Amazon describes this particular Samsung phone, the “Binge Monster” in its teaser. It will be the sixth M-series phone this year, following Galaxy M42 5G, Galaxy M12, Galaxy M02, and the Galaxy M02s.
Samsung regards this phone as the “Segment-best” device to offer an FHD+ sAMOLED 90Hz display. It will be available in Blue and Black color choices, a square-shaped rear camera module, and an Infinity-U display. The Amazon listing further affirms that the phone will offer a 90Hz refresh rate and 800 nits peak brightness. It has vertical stripes in the back panel, sports a 64MP quad-camera module and a 20MP front-facing snapper, with an LED flash. The “Binge Monster” is powered by a 6000 mAh battery unit. It is claimed to run all day and all night in a single charge, but there is no word on its fast-charging abilities.
The Galaxy M32 is observed to feature a U-shaped notch and a slightly thick chin. Apart from the specifications revealed by the Amazon teaser, this smartphone is anticipated to be offered in 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB RAM and storage variants. It will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and will come with OneUI based Android 11. The handset holds a right side-mounted power button that doubles up as the fingerprint scanner. It measures 160 x 74 x 9mm and weighs around 196 grams. However, these details are not yet approved by Samsung. The quad-camera module is expected to contain a 64 MP primary sensor, along with an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 5 MP macro unit, and a 5 MP depth capture.
The handset’s price in India is yet to be revealed, though Samsung mentions that the Samsung M32 will fall in the Rs.15,000 to Rs. 20,000 category. This means that its price will fall below Samsung Galaxy M42 5G, whose rates start at Rs. 21,999. The company mentions during a press note, “With Galaxy M32, Samsung is aiming to bring another power-packed phone in the same Rs.15,000 range”.
Unfortunately, the upcoming “Binge Monster” won’t be a 5G device. We expect to gain other details in the upcoming days closer to its great launch.
