Brushing teeth were never been so advanced. Even during the existence of electric toothbrushes, humanity needed something more to call it “modern.” Now, Huawei has the answer with their AI Life App following the footsteps of companies like Oral B. According to the latest leaks, the app can be connected with a bunch of electronic toothbrushes that support HiLink technology resulting in a score on the application. Based on several measurements, the score will be calculated and displayed on the screen which you can use to improve the way you brush.
Even though it sounds silly at a first glance, those who own an electric toothbrush such as the recently launched Huawei HiLink Smart Toothbrush will find the feature helpful. You can pair the toothbrush with the application and whenever you start brushing, the application will automatically record the activity. Just like smartwatches track your footsteps and records them in the application.
The AI Life App will show you the details such as different brushing modes, clean level, start position, reports, etc. If you are really into taking care of your teeth, you can use this information to brush better. Just like we make use of the reports from a fitness application. But several users on the Huawei community and social media platforms are taking it as a funny thing to track your brushing activity and as just another try of companies to sell off a toothbrush that said to have some futuristic technology.
Huawei AI Life App is targeting to bring all the HiLink supported devices in a single platform. Similar to many other applications such as the Google Home that makes the dream of Smart Homes possible, Huawei is trying their own methods to gain market. We don’t know how successful it would be considering there are numerous, arguably better devices out there. The company is primarily targetting the Chinese market to gain more users.
